She and Walter were active members of Eids Lutheran Church. When Eids closed, they became members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton. After moving to Ortonville in the early 1980's, Agnes became a member of First English Lutheran Church where she was a member until her death. Agnes was active in church activities and was involved in Days of Love where she helped in quilting for shut-ins and elderly members of the church.

Among the activities which Agnes participated in and enjoyed were writing poetry, keeping up with politics, and watching basketball and baseball. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter Thomson, her brothers Carl, Albert, Arnold and Joe Knutson, her son Richard Thomson and daughter-in-law, Deanna, and her grandson, Ilya Thomson.
